“Positive points:
1. Amazing view
2. Nice check-in. They kept our luggages since we've arrived early. After hiking they already put our luggages in our room.
Negative points:
1. Equipment of the room was disappointing.
Plastic coffee cups (even 3 star hotels provide real espresso cups)
Entrance light was blinking. So we had to kept turning it off.
Terrace door didn't close correctly.
Toilet flushing button popped up out.
They left a tiny bottle of shampoo and a shower gel for 2 persons. So I had to ask them more.
2. Horrible breakfast
Breakfast was not buffet like other hotels. Once we sit, a waiter gave us one plate of ham and cheese(3slices of cheese 3 slices of ham) + bread basket and one small plate of fruit. They had to ask if we wanted coffee or tea but they were so busy to cover all the table. We waited for 10 mins to ask coffee but they didn't come. So I had to go to the bar table in order that they could recognise me.
I don't understand why they keep this breakfast system. Either should open buffet breakfast or hire more waiters to cover all the tables.
After finishing it, we were still so hungry. The waiter came to us. I thought he would ask if we wanted more food. But he asked us if he could clean the plates.

“Modest hotel in mid-80's bldg. Decor is dated but can't beat the location steps away from the main Sintra square and the National Palace. Hotel is built on the side of a steep hill. Reception is on the 4th floor, which is the ground entrance from the front, but floors below and above had guest rooms. My room was on the 1st floor which felt a bit like going down into the basement, but once in the room I found it open at the back -- airy and light with a balcony and views out of the back of the hotel across the city. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and a good size. Wifi worked with good speed. Didn't use the restaurant or bar but looked pleasant enough.
Some of the carpets in the hallways were stained and a bit grubby- but no issues with room cleanliness.”
