“We stayed at the hideaway for 5 days. The scenery was beautiful and the rooms were ok. The rooms had minor flaws from wear and tear, the fridge was not fully stocked as advertised and even after we called they still did not. The staff were friendly as long as you were tipping a lot. We asked a staff member about how they were paid and they told us they don’t get paid good that they really only get tips. This explained why if we tipped big they would serve us and if we didn’t they would ignore us. I would understand this level of service if I had not paid for an all inclusive. The staff that were the most friendly were the ones you wouldn’t expect like the maids, lawn staff, towel person, butlers. We ended up being very disappointed in the end and will not be returning to this resort. However with all that being said it is a very beautiful place and the food was good. The nicest most genuine person there was the lunch cook who made jerk chicken by the hideaway pool named Clive. He made a negative experience turn good, thank you Clive.”
