“We made a reservation here two months ago, and received a confirmation email at the time of booking, along with another email several days before our stay. Today, upon our arrival, we found all of the doors were locked and a small sign stating they were closed. We tried calling twice and received their voicemail. Furthermore, the hotel’s website doesn’t mention being closed and still shows a booking option. We were luckily able to receive a refund by the third party booking site, but had to rush to book another hotel last minute. For such a well known hotel, we were very disappointed with the Sofitel’s lack of communication and professionalism. They’ve responded to other recent reviews saying that they’ll follow up regarding the lack of communication, but the fact that this is still happening to people tells me otherwise. We were really looking forward to our stay here and sadly won’t come back here in the future.”
