We went here for two nights for our honeymoon and the hotel is great! The staff was super nice, the restaurants of the hotel are so good and the rooms are very nice as well. The pool is heated, so you can also go in the "winter" (or at least what the people of Florida call winter). The location is also great, right next to the beach on one side and Collins Ave and Lincoln Road on the other. Very recommended!

Eu gostaria de poder dar 5 estrelas, mas não posso. Uma hora antes de partir do hotel para voar para casa na tarde de quarta-feira, 20 de outubro, meu celular foi roubado. Eu estava lendo na piscina do Hyde Beach e, por volta das 16h, subi para o meu quarto para fazer as malas. A área da piscina estava muito quieta esta tarde, com alguns hóspedes ao redor do lado oposto da piscina e 2 funcionários fazendo serviço de bebidas e toalhas. 30 minutos depois de ir para o meu quarto, percebi que não estava com meu telefone e devo tê-lo deixado na cabana entre as toalhas. As toalhas tinham sido recolhidas pelos funcionários e meu telefone tinha sumido (e também estava desligado, embora eu soubesse que estava carregado). A gerência do hotel fez várias promessas nas semanas seguintes de trabalhar com meu namorado e eu para ajudar a melhorar a situação, mas nada aconteceu. Eles não se comunicaram prontamente, não compartilharam cópias das filmagens de segurança para que pudéssemos adicionar isso ao relatório policial arquivado e não nos forneceram nenhum meio direto de contatá-los. Estou extremamente desapontado com a forma como isso foi tratado e recomendo a todos que fiquem lá para ficarem de olho em seus pertences. Vergonha para a gestão e vergonha para o pessoal.

Overpriced hotel, rooms are tiny and don’t have closets, making hanging up our wedding attire impossible. The Wifi didn’t work in the room either, which made me feel like it was 2006. Stay elsewhere

Pros: Nice art deco hotel with a decent pool/bar area. The people working the front desk was very friendly. Con: Booked with American express and normally they will upgrade you if they have room available. Front desk said it was full when it clearly was not (they clearly don't follow the standard of amex). Additionally, rooms are very small (2 people do not stay comfortable in the normal queen room) and breakfast is very mediocre for a 4star hotel

I wish I could give 5 stars, but I can’t. An hour before departing the hotel to fly home on Wednesday afternoon October 20, my cell phone was stolen. I had been reading by the Hyde Beach pool, and around 4pm walked up to my room to pack. The pool area had been very quiet this afternoon, with a few guests around on the opposite side of the pool, and 2 staff members doing drink service and towel service. Within 30 minutes of going to my room, I realized I didn’t have my phone, and I must have left it down on the cabana amongst the towels. The towels had been picked up by staff, and my phone was gone (and also turned off even though I knew it was charged). The hotel management made multiple promises over the next few weeks to work with my boyfriend and I to help ameliorate the situation, but nothing happened. They were not prompt in communication, shared no copies of security footage so we could add that to the police report filed, and gave us no direct way to contact them. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled, and recommend anyone staying there to keep a close eye on their belongings. Shame on management and shame on staff.

I’m here right now ( woman committee even)and I’m in love with this hotel. I really want to mention a guy in specific “Hiram” he was working at the Katsura main dining room very nice, asking if we need something. When dining finished I ask him for a yogurt and he brings me one to the conference room. Excellent service

We enjoyed our stay at SLS. The pool party is great, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very small and a bit outdated but were fine. The shower water pressure was unbelievably good, pretty much like standing under a waterfall. We invited 2 other couples to join us and stay here also. We checked in the same time as the 1 other couple. A week before our trip I got an email about upgrading to ocean view for about $50. I selected I was interested if they had availability. When we checked in, she mentioned we got upgraded for free! I thought this was very nice. The other couple that checked in the same time as us also got upgraded. As it turns out, they charged us for the upgrade and did not charge the other couple. So it wasn’t free. I asked the front desk during checkout since we were told it was free, and they said they would investigate and let me know. They never let me know. I would stay at SLS again

Restaurant was very nice, inside a hotel. Valet parking or self parking on the street available. Pricy menu but since we're still in September, ordered the "Miami Spice" menu to try the food for a fixed price. Food very tasty, hot, good quality. Served four plates as the menu stated including dessert. Unfortunately the menu on-line and the menu copy from the restaurant did not say all the portions would be Tapas Size. I felt price paid was high for these small portions. Service by staff was timely and great. Reason I gave #3 stars is due to the menu misinformation on the Tapas portions.

Conheci o restaurante que é de um chef espanhol. Tem o bar logo na entrada, depois o salão principal, e depois a área da piscina com mesas, bar e muuuuuita gente!!!! Se for para conhecer gente nova vá direto para o fundo, se for um casal fique no salão principal. É um lugar muito bom e também muito caro, mas vale a pena. Só servem "tapas" que são pequenas porções que podem ser compartilhadas. Um casal, uma jarra de sangria de cava, e 5 pratos de tapas saem por volta de US$300,00. Alguns guias fazem referência à cozinha molecular, mas não espere muito nesse gênero. Também não espere tapas tradicionais... Dentre outras coisas, experimentei, compartilhando,um creme de funghi com fatias de trufas negras italianas, delicioso. Também experimentei um pequeno sorvete com folhas de ouro sob uma cumbuca de chocolate, que flambada derrete e faz a calda!!! Serviço de valet na porta por US$30,00.

Essa mesa que está vazia fica no lobby do hotel, acontece que no lobby só tem um sofá para 3 pessoas sentadasficarem aguardando amigos ou um Uber. Mas eles não permitem que os hóspedes sentem para aguardar mesmo com o restaurante Bazaar vazio como está nessa foto, mandam levantar !!!! Falta de respeito com os hóspedes .

First time writing an online review of anything. The hotel was as expected. Great location, small rooms, expensive. Overall fine experience until picking up the car and realizing money was stolen from the center console. Multiple phone calls and emails to speak with management have gone ignored. Will never stay at an SLS again.

Tão desapontado!! Antes de dizer qualquer coisa, acho que tenho que dar algum contexto, caso contrário, isso não fará sentido. Minha irmã está tentando encontrar uma maneira de casar por mais tempo porque, desde o início da pandemia de Covid, todos os seus planos mudaram. Ela olhou o lugar e ficou muito animada para me contar a respeito. Ela mencionou que eles já tinham dado um preço a ela e tudo. Então eu disse a ela que era muito bom, também disse a ela para finalizar o processo com eles para que pudéssemos começar a planejar. Ela voltava para mim dizendo que o responsável sempre dizia algo diferente. A última vez que ela me ligou a respeito desse assunto foi para me dizer que estava tudo cancelado, já que a senhora basicamente disse que naquela temporada eles costumam ter eventos maiores que os dela. Que se ela tem um grande evento, ela prefere fazer isso e não um pequeno que lhes dê menos lucro. Também eles não tinham nenhum evento agendado para aquele período, ao nosso conhecimento. Eles também disseram a ela para esperar um mês e se nada acontecesse, ela tentaria reservá-los. Se você está planejando fazer um grande evento, eles são os únicos para você, se não, por favor, não perca seu tempo. É muito triste que nos importamos mais com dinheiro do que com as pessoas, eu sei que eles são um negócio e precisam ganhar dinheiro especialmente nestes tempos, mas então diga não imediatamente e não dê esperanças às pessoas.

So disappointed!! Before I say anything I guess I have to give some context otherwise this won’t make sense. My sister has been trying to find a venue for the longest to get married because since the Covid pandemic started all her plans changed. She looked the place up and came very excited to tell me about it. She mentioned they had already given her a price and all. So I told her that was really good, also told her to finalice the process with them so we could start planning. She would come back to me saying that the person in charge would always say something different. The last time she called regarding this subject was to tell me that everything was canceled since the lady has basically said that for that season they usually have bigger events than hers. That if she gets a big event she rather do that and not a small one that gives them less profit. Also they did not have any event whatsoever booked for that time to our knowledge. They also told her to wait a month and if nothing came up then she would try and book them. If you are planning on doing a huge event they are the one for you if not then please don’t waste your time. It is just sad that we care more about money than people, I know that they are a business and need to make money specially in this times but then say no right off the bat and don’t give people hopes.

Unique compact room styles. Modern designed.However ocean view is kind of blocked a bit by their one sided sofas in few rooms - see below pics. Pls check that before booking. Friendly staff. Direct beach access with lounge chairs and umbrella included in the resort fees.

I recently paid nearly twice the normal rate here to book what I was told was an “Oceanfront Suite” with “sweeping ocean views.” As you can see from the pictures, just about the only view from my window was of the hotel’s rusty roof. When I spoke to Mel the front desk manager about this, he told me that the best he could do is wave the resort fee. I explained to him that I would have never booked the room had I known it didn’t actually have a view of the ocean as promised. He immediately became very rude and told me to “deal with it”. I disregarded his impolite tone and politely asked if I could at least have a late checkout as my flight wasn’t until the afternoon and he said that the best he could do was 12pm (as opposed to 11am). I asked if I could pay for later or extend the room and he said that they were at “100% capacity” and “even if I gave him a thousand dollars” I couldn’t extend my stay. I said okay and left only to look online to see there were in fact MANY rooms available from different sites. I then called the hotel directly and was told that yes, there were many rooms available. I walked back in and informed Mel that the hotel was telling me they were definitely not at capacity and there were many rooms available. I politely asked why he would lie to me when I was simply trying to pay to extend my stay. He then got angry and told me that my checkout time was back to 11am and if I tried to book another room he would “refuse the booking”! I said “you would turn down revenue for the hotel to be spiteful and petty?” And he just smiled and waved at me. I said “sir there is no reason to behave this way and there was no reason to lie to me about the hotel’s occupancy”. At which point he began to become more rude and insulting, embarrassing me on my vacation and creating a scene. I can honestly say I have never experienced such poor customer service from a hotel before, such a complete lack of respect for a customer. I have been staying at SLS properties for years and almost always have a great experience, but this will be my last time ever staying at one of their properties.

This review is coming from someone who loves the SLS in Beverly Hills. If you want to lay in the sun by a pool, definitely do not come here. There are literally like 2 lounge chairs in the sun. The pool they market you have to pay a minimum for the day in addition to the hotel fee. A pool party scene. It doesn’t come with the hotel. If you want a decent size room, do not come here. The bathrooms are tiny (although nice big rain shower). The gym is embarrassing. Worst hotel gym I have even seen! And I travel a ton for business. Food is good and the decor is nice. That’s about it. Then, they charge $50/day for a resort fee. You’re pretty much paying for a beach chair, towels, and a lounge chair in the shade at the pool. Much better hotels in south beach than this one.

Our stay here was great! The SLS South Beach is located in a very prime location and the bedrooms are well put together. The service was excellent. Fernando, our Concierge, went above and beyond by giving us amazing recommendations and making our stay here perfect. I will definitely come back here.

Hotel ideal por su ubicación a 100 m de la playa. Las habitaciones son bastantes grandes al igual que el baño y el servicio pasa dos veces al día. las camas son cómodas y grandes. Los desayunos son bastantes flojos sobre todo si eres europeo y estás acostumbrado a otro tipo de alimentación. Los interiores son preciosos y no deja de asombrar. Aconsejo este hotel para viajar a Miami.
