The buses on route Airport - Palanga - Airport run approximately every hour on every day (even in the late hours). For more information phone call +370 460 52020. They cost 2 LTL oneway, the bus stop is not the one in front of the terminal but on the roadside 20m further.
When you come to Palanga Airport by a rented car, you can park it at the Airport and leave the keys with car documents in Airport Cafe on the first floor. Passengers comming by own car can park auto in a paid place for long parking. For more information contact Airport Cafe tel/fax +370 460 51392.
The bus station is located on Kretingos street, in the city centre, next to the Church of Assumption of The Holy Virgin Mary.
Klaipeda. Buses and minibuses operate from early morning to 22:00-23:00, depending on time of the year. While buses run on a set schedule, microbuses usually run every 20-30 min. The trip costs 5-6 LTL and takes 30 min (microbus) or 45 min (bus).
Kaunas. Most services connecting Vilnius and Palanga do not stop in [wiki=3a9c3ae8ea2e275700947e511afca943]Kaunas[/wiki] bus station, but stop at the outskirts of Kaunas. If travelling from Kaunas centre, one have to check in advance whether the direct bus to Palanga is available, otherwise the best way is to get a bus to [wiki=e246b155a7cc86ed7e0181467bd557b0]Klaipėda[/wiki] and connect there.
Vilnius. Many buses connect Palanga and the capital, especially during the summer. The trip will cost 68-72 LTL and will take around 4-4.5 hr. Alternatively, you may connect via [wiki=e246b155a7cc86ed7e0181467bd557b0]Klaipėda[/wiki], since all buses stop there anyway. There is an overnight service (daily during the summer), running from [wiki=8787a878258ef18bb38d9163f41b846c]Minsk[/wiki] ([wiki=6542f875eaa09a5c550e5f3986400ad9]Belarus[/wiki]) costing less (~50 LTL, but discount not possible), which leaves Vilnius at 22:45 and arrives to Palanga at 04:45. At high season, this bus can get quite crowded, so advance reservation is advised (available at [url=http://www.iticket.lt]TOKS iTicket system[/url]).
Liepaja (Latvia). Service from Liepaja is scarce, as buses/microbuses only run 4 times per day. The trip costs around 14 LTL and lasts 60-80 min. Some companies running microbuses from Liepaja to Palanga may accept Lithuanian Litas, but it is advisable to have Latvian currency, if travelling from there (Liepaja bus station tel +371 34 27552).
Riga (Latvia). Only one bus per day runs from Riga to Palanga, costing 55-60 LTL and taking 4h30min. This bus also calls at Liepaja. Many more services run on Riga-Klaipeda route, but do so via Siauliai and do not call at Palanga or Liepaja.
Minsk (Belarus). A daily service runs in summer months, but frequencies can be downgraded in the low-season. It leaves Minsk at 19:00 local time, reaching Palanga at 04:45 and costs 95-100 LTL.

Direct train service does not run to Palanga, as there are no railway tracks in the city. However, it is possible to take a train from [wiki=674756b151c1a964546ad103f310fc5b]Vilnius[/wiki] or [wiki=448f190eddf80a7d43ad8f04fa98eb87]Šiauliai[/wiki] (three times per day) to [wiki=af545427f7e13e298fdc030f9bdbacb7]Kretinga[/wiki], which is the springboard to the resort, located 11 km from there. Taxi and direct (and some indirect) bus service between Kretinga and Palanga available, but be advised that outside of July and August, it is not possible to catch a bus to Palanga if arriving on the last train (at 22:00). [wiki=af545427f7e13e298fdc030f9bdbacb7]Kretinga[/wiki] also can be used as a base to stay overnight with an easy feasibility to do one-day trips to the resort.

Taxi is available in front of Airport Terminal. A trip to Palanga city takes 10 min and costs about 20-40 LTL (6 EUR-12 EUR) or to Klaipėda takes about 30 min. price about 50 LTL (~15 EUR). A 310 km four lane motorway connects [wiki=e246b155a7cc86ed7e0181467bd557b0]Klaipėda[/wiki] and Palanga on the shore of the Baltic sea, and connects [wiki=3a9c3ae8ea2e275700947e511afca943]Kaunas[/wiki], as well as [wiki=674756b151c1a964546ad103f310fc5b]Vilnius[/wiki] in the eastern part of the country.
From 15 May to 15 September, only paid parking is allowed in the city centre throughout the city and costs 2-3 LTL per hour. Hotels and guesthouses may have their own parking lots.
Only places with free parking in the city centre are on Biliuno and Zemaites streets.
