Atsugi's commercial core in the south of the city is served by Hon-Atsugi Station (本厚木駅), a major stop on the Odakyu Odawara line halfway between [wiki=13724c1e44131bff818b5a3f6fc106e1]Odawara[/wiki] and Tokyo's [wiki=f1b7e87a26b2c633ba456e95749b598b]Shinjuku Station[/wiki]. All express trains stop at Hon-Atsugi, and a number of departures from Shinjuku end their runs there. Don't be misled by Atsugi Station, one stop closer to Tokyo, which is actually across the Sagami River in neighboring [wiki=135cfc763be64857672ec5882280a00a]Ebina[/wiki] City.
