    From the north traffic usually comes along the A606 via Oakham and Melton Mowbray. Traffic coming from Leicester in the west is generally directed via the A47.

    The nearest railway stations are at Oakham and Corby. Oakham railway station serviced by Cross Country Rail. Services travelling west call at Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Nuneation, Coleshill and Birmingham New Street on an hourly basis. Hourly services travelling east call at Stamford, Peterborough, March, Ely, Cambridge, Audley End (for Saffron Walden) and Stansted Airport. Corby is served by East Midland trains and provides direct services to London.

      There are a number of bus stops in Uppingham - the main one 'Uppingham Bus Station' is located in North Street East (opposite Tod's Piece recreation ground) - there are two bays. Electronic indicator boards show departure times. Please note there are no bus services on Sundays.
