    Fayence is a very pretty village, so it can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, taking in its bars, restaurants and markets selling local produce.

    There is a local museum where you can discover 'Le Four du Mitan' an old communal oven which was in use from the 16th Century until 1947. It is the perfect place to visit for those who like French bread. Entrance to the museum is free.

    The other perched villages in Provence are all within a short driving distance of Fayence and include; Montauroux, Callian and Tourrettes. Each village has its charm and are regularly voted among the most beautiful in France.

    A short drive away from Fayence is the Lac de Saint Cassien[wiki=fc3f0d754b492057138f58a2c1efbc64]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lac_de_Saint-Cassien[/wiki], which has several picnic areas, fishing spots and water sports in the summer months.
