The Basilica St Sauveur- Place Saint-Sauveur 18, was commissioned around 1120 by Sir Rivallon le Roux, Lord of Dinan. After returning from the first Crusades he built the church to thank God for his safety. During the 15th and 16th centuries parts of the church were rebuilt and expanded. The church is topped by a bell tower that was built during the 18th century to replace a dome that was destroyed by lightning in the 17th century. St. Sauveur Basilica has been listed as a Historical Monument since 1862.

Saint Malo Church- 12 Rue de la Boulangerie, 02 96 39 06 67. The construction of this church started in 1490 by Pierre Laval, Bishop of the city of St Malo. In 1854 a series of stain glass windows were installed. These windows depict religious events, the lives of the people in Dinan, and the history of the city. Displaying “gothic flamboyant architecture” the church is accompanied by 13 meter tall magnolia tree that has become a landmark of the city.
