During summer additional routes are added, [wiki=579eab5c8b8db892cc12d4905841a277]Odessa[/wiki] (39 h) via [wiki=c5c12fffd30a23e3468076da2e046b90]Kiev[/wiki], [wiki=8dbeff9871dc83a2ffa1edb23f38c1aa]Simferopol[/wiki] (37.5 h) and [wiki=7f5651ef9b1fb1869c90bff552f60ecf]Sochi[/wiki] (62 h). From Poland, you can take train in [wiki=c181a79242b7fe86c0aa644c237bfc79]Białystok[/wiki]. There is 3 direct trains per day, at 05:40 AM, at 11:34 AM and at 20:30 PM. A ticket is 21,28 zlotys.
Note that cigarette smuggling is very common, and many people will be doing it.

Be aware of borders, and possible waiting in line (especially on the Polish boarder [wiki=ea32c38db734099f8a3606fe446cb34e]Kuznica[/wiki]-[wiki=8ce7327dea6d1876bb603d999656dc21]Bruzhi[/wiki] or, with usually smaller lines, [wiki=6cd4ab2e3c6cccb03f748cf244770ce9]Bierastavica[/wiki]).
There are a lot of buses from [wiki=8787a878258ef18bb38d9163f41b846c]Minsk[/wiki] (costs around 120,000 rubles for the express route, which takes 4 h) from Uschodni Bus Station or from Centralniy Bus Station (next to the main train station), few from [wiki=5019e8e50cd99f74b805959c3b1fedf0]Brest[/wiki] (the same price), few from [wiki=674756b151c1a964546ad103f310fc5b]Vilnius[/wiki], one bus from [wiki=ab014f5797b79c42d078976b9d1a413c]Warsaw[/wiki] (departure around 10-11 a.m. from Warszawa-Stadion station; a few buses from [wiki=7e35e74e610188414ad24235dd787c78]Moscow[/wiki].
Good pizzas here. Staff speak English, and some dishes (not the pizzas) have pictures to point to.

Train Station Hotel In the same building as a railway station. Cost around 11-12 USD per person in double room. Rooms are tidy and well equipeed (TV, radio, fridge, wardrobe). But it has unfriendly old staff. Hipermarket in close neighbourhood. (I was there during hockey ice championships).
The hotel is very nice, right up to "western" standards. It has air conitioning, and everything is clean and modern. There is a pool in the hotel. The location is very convenient: when you get off the bus, look for where there is lots of traffic, walk up there and cross the road: that is Semashko, about 100 m up. Some of the service was a little bit less than ideal, but nothing is out of the ordinary in this part of the world.
