“We spent 4 nights of our Florida Keys Honeymoon at the Pier House. While there, we had to deal with a tropical storm so 2 days prior to our departure date, I contacted the front desk and advised them that we’d be checking out 1 night early. I was told that they would refund the last night less $100 fee. I was fine with that. However, when we checked out, the bill was for all 4 nights and failed to deduct either the first night’s deposit which was paid 3 months earlier or the last night, less the $100 fee. I questioned the front desk clerk but she was clueless. I asked for the manager but was informed that he was not on the property, but that they would take care of the issue. Well, they never did, so I disputed the issue with my credit card company. I attempted on numerous occasions to contact the hotel without success. The hotel then blatantly lied to the credit card company.
I’ve been around the travel business the better part of 50 years in different capacities but have never been treated as poorly by a hotel. I would not recommend the Pier House Resort to anyone, especially our Travel Agency clients.”

“Was so excited after reading a lot of reviews. When I reserved a room here it was to come with balcony the pics on there site made it look so pretty well not so much!!!! Our first room oh it had two really neat doors to go out to which we thought a balcony well no it was a ledge a very short ledge!!! And condensation was running down the walls from the vent. So made a complaint and the next day they moved us to a different room. Needless to say we went to go eat and was told they would move us around noon 1o’clock nope we get back and was told they done moved us thank god we went and check the other room they didn’t get half our stuff!!! After being told they moved all our stuff!!!! Now to the second room with so called balcony!!! This is what it looks like!!! The rooms are nice nothing to brag about nothing special we did enjoy the small beach they have and the girl waiting on us at the beach was great!!! But there has to be a better place to stay for the money we spent!!! So disappointed and I really wanted this to be a special wonderful place for me And my boyfriend to spend our first vacation.”
