“The Hampton Inn Portland East is receiving 2-stars simply because of the kind and courteous staff. My check-in process was smooth and the gal at the front desk was amazing. She informed me of all the amenities available during my stay and as a Hilton Honors member offered both water and a complimentary beverage.
The issue that I had was specifically with my room. It had a dank, musty odor and felt a bit swampy despite the air conditioner. Obviously bad smells are off putting and always seem to reflect on the overall cleanliness of the room (unfortunately). Secondly, there were long black hairs all over the bathroom floor. Not one hair, a lot of them. Seeing this made me realize there's no way the floor could have been swept and then mopped. So, it was a huge gross out factor and made me wonder what else in the room wasn't truly clean let alone sterilized.
With a few extra steps taken by the cleaning staff, this could have been a comfortable stay. The remainder of the facility was as expected considering the price range of this hotel.”

“Nossa cama cheirava a geléia de dedo do pé. Pensei que fosse a cabeceira da cama, então nos abaixamos e fiquei acordando a noite toda sentindo aquele fedor. Muito desapontado. Check-in foi assim / assim. Eu senti como se não gostassem de mim. E o quarto que obtivemos tinha vista zero. Apenas uma parede. Mas esse não era o problema real ..”
