Situated in a cross road a few meters away from a metro and bus stations. The rooms are clean and the service is polite. Breakfast has a good assortment (american and french) with very tidy service.

Room was clean, spacious and well appointed. Staff were friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The only reason it was not 5 star was that the Air Conditioner barely worked and we had to get a fan to sleep.

The bathroom was clean, but the room was poorly maintained - mold near the air conditioner, bugs in the bed. Some stuff is nice and some is not. The breakfast food wasn't filled frequently and there were missing products.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Very service minded and helped out with all our questions. Building is fresh and clean. Breakfast was very good, much to select from the buffe. The hotel is located a couple of km from Las Ramblas and downtown so it's quite a bit to walk when it's very hot. During our stay it was above 30 degress each day and there was energy saving demands from government so air conditioning was not so good as expected. There was a smell also from time to time, probably from the air conditioning but that was not a big issue.

Good location, easy to walk. The apartment has good space and excellent bathroom. Air conditioning and excellent cleaning. I especially highlight the attitude of Miguel, who works at the reception, who acted with empathy and kindness. Congratulations

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Very friendly staff and always willing to help. We had an issue with our bath, I was a bit worried at first that it might be blamed on me but to my delight they insisted I change to a new room no questions asked. The experience we got, for what we paid, was unbelievably good. I would definitely recommend to anyone else and definitely visit again

It’s a very nice hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms and comfy beds. There’s free water and an apple as well as coffee and tea in the room. A mini bar with modest mini bar prices (please skip the Heineken, use Estrella instead!) It’s not right in the middle of downtown Barcelona, but Bus and metro stops are a short walk away and there are are Bars and Cafes just around the corner with good prices. So this Hotel offers an extremely good value! Many hotels, and this one is no exception, have a very expensive breakfast concept. €17/night or as it was offered with 9€/night is not relevant for us. I only drink coffee in the morning and my partner has a croissant. More individual choice options would be nice, so we went to a bakery/coffee bar around the corner and paid €3,95 for two freshly made coffees and one croissant. Anyhow, next time, this hotel will be definitely a contender to stay at again!

The hotel is really nice so far. The only issue we have with is that the air conditioning is not working (at the time of this review) and the road is very load as we have to open the windows. The staff have been very nice and helpful. Would have been 5 stars but we were not informed that the air con was broken. We would stay here again

Having working in Tourism Business, in Hotels & Travel Agencies, I can assure you one thing, HOSPITALITY is everything! This is what we felt in Amistel Hotel. Very friendly and willing staff, from the receptionist to the cleaning ladies, everyone has an honest smile and the will to make the customer happy. We left our room very late every day and the cleaning staff always had the room cleaned and asked us about everything we need. The hotel was very clean overall. The receptionists provided us with all the info we asked, they were discreet, provided us with umbrella over a rainy day etc. This is what matters, to feel like home. Then you don't care if the bathroom has a small damage, if the hotel is not brand new or if the building next door is noisy in the morning due to constructions, although the sound proof was really good at the hotel so we almost heard nothing. you don't care if the pool on the roof is small and not Olympic size. You feel welcome and you feel well treated. We had a special offer, so overall the value for money for our stay was excellent. The hotel may not be brand new but it is well preserved with very good furniture and amazing bed mattresses and pillows. The metro may not be so close, not outside your door but a 5-7 min walk, but several buses run very close to the hotel and were just fine for our movement in Barcelona town.
