“First off, the location is great. But that’s about it. Our room had no soap or towels, it took a long time to get either. Also our room had no shelves of hooks to place the towels when we got them. Which is just weird. Our room only had windows into an abandoned mall, so no natural light, and it just felt like we were stuck in a dark hole. Our room was above the bar, and loud all night. It was also directly below the pool. So it was loud and smelled like chlorine.
Our room keys stopped working all the time, and the front desk was not helpful. They had our check out day wrong, and room service kept entering the room without knocking. The front desk told us that we were supposed to check out and check back in, despite having a reservation for two nights.
When my wife’s key didn’t work during the day, the weren’t going to let her or my son back into the room since she had a different last name. They said this was my fault for not adding names to my room, despite never asking me any questions during check in when I asked for two keys. The front desk staff were never helpful or accommodating. For a “four star” hotel this was all such a disappointment.”
