      Small passenger boats often moor at loutsa beach. Do not take these are they are slow, unreliable and expensive.
      The best option if you want to get in by boat is to rent a boat in a nearby town and drive it to loutsa.

    • By plane

      Many private airstrips operate in surrounding areas, but most have unpaved runways and are only used by the owner. Kalamata airport is an hour away.

    Most things in Akritochori are walking distance, but to get to Loutsa, you may want to drive.

    There is not much to see in Akritochori, but there are nice places and locals to visit.
    *Loutsa beach: A small sandy beach is located below the cliffside. A beautiful location with warm water year-round, a snack bar and small cafe. Ask the locals for directions or even to drive you there.
    *Castle: A small unmaintained castle lies about 10 kilometres away from the village. It is not recommended to visit it as it is in disrepair and you will have to hike through kilometres of forest.

    The locals are very warm and accomodating. If you ask, some may take you to see their farm properties, You may even get a tractor ride.

    The locals often sell their produce, which include fruit, vegetables, Tobacco and many other goods. One of the most popular things sold are old Drachma notes, many are pre-1900 and sell for up to 20 Euros.

    Every now and then a small festival is held in the town. There is dancing, food and entertainment, and admission varies from 10-30 euros. When entering the town by car, look for posters on signs about the festival.
