Prestatyn is on the A548 Chester to [wiki=069b1d20eaf21c3dedc11ed0affb60b0]Llanrwst[/wiki] road. It is also just 10 minutes drive from the A55 Expressway which runs the length of the North Wales coastline.
Prestatyn is at the northern end of the 177 mile Offas Dyke Path national trail, which runs the length of the Wales/England border to [wiki=7df850427316bafcd9e6e0956453923b]Chepstow[/wiki], following an 8th century defensive earthwork. Other trails starting and/or finishing in the town are the North Wales Path, Clwydian Way and Dee Way.
Prestatyn's most famous tourist attraction is its beach. The town's central beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, the only [wiki=e7381b0d2752347026dac8fd8c63d44c]Denbighshire[/wiki] beach with the accolade.
