Air Corsica, an Air France subsidiary, is the main airline flying to Corsica and Ajaccio International Airport (AJA). Most of Air Corsica/Air France flights depart from Paris-Orly, Nice and Marseille airports throughout the year. Much more French cities are served during the summer season (april-october).

easyJet, Volotea and XL airways also propose numerous direct flights to the city from Paris, other French and European cities.

In addition, companies such as Airlinair, Jetairfly, Norwegian and Transavia operates flights from French and European cities during the summer season (april-october).

Cheaper way to go to the city is bus line 12 last stop Capitello (information summer 2012) which is 250 meters from the airport (continue straight from the airport bus stop of number 8 as if the bus was going straight between the rent-a-car garages, and not turning left to pass between the rent-a-car offices and parkings.) which runs to the Gare d'Ajaccio (train station), and costs just 1.10 Eur, however it is not advertised by Tourist Information at all. Rent-a-cars are better to be taken at the airport, however watch out for the cleaning policy of the cars: AVIS/Budget warn you to return them the car in clean state, otherwise a penalty of 50 EUR might be charged. There is a BP Fuel station between Ajaccio and the Airport, which has both vacuum cleaner and pressurized water cleaning, which will cost you around 2 EUR to clean the car.
