Oliva is at the southernmost tip of the Costa Azahar coast (also known as the Orange Blossom coast) where it meets the Costa Blanca coast of Spain, a one of the most famous tourist areas in Spain and just one hour from Valencia airport. Oliva has historically been a well know resort for the Spanish, but now the area has become a great attraction for tourists all over Europe. Oliva beaches are golden white sands made up of three main beaches, Terranova-Burguera Playa, Pau Pi Playa and the Aigua.

Oliva’s extensive beaches do not feel crowded like other [wiki=b0b6d63c35f9cb05f887af502d9a3e4a]Costa Blanca[/wiki] beaches and remain a special destination that is a little quieter but less crowded as Javea, Moraira and Benidorm. Oliva has one of the area’s largest and most colourful Moors and Christians Festivals (Fiestas de Moros i Christians, in Valencian language) in the province. In Oliva old town the two principal churches are Sant Roc and Santa Maria la Major. Both the churches date from the 17th and 18th centuries and at the top of the hill is the old town where the Santa Anna Castle was built in the 16th century. In the centre of the town there is also still an old Roman kiln situated below one of the blocks of apartments on Santíssim street.
