    Úbeda lays in the middle of Jaen, surrounded by the iconic cerros covered by olive trees. Besides its small size the city contains a valuable cultural ensemble, being one of the main point of interest in the region, if not the most.

    • By train

      In spite of its name Jódar-Úbeda may not be the best option to reach the city. Even being the closer station (11 Km) its location in an empty area where few public transports go make it difficult to reach.

      A better option for visitors is to use the Linares-Baeza station, 26 Km away from Úbeda, but recommended by the tourist services. Besides having more train connections it has taxis and plenty of buses to [wiki=8c36bddccabb02fa4acdc548ff2f07df]Baeza[/wiki] and even Úbeda itself (ALSA [http://www.alsa.es/], 2,08 € one way) available.

    • By bus

      The bus station is in Calle San José. Buses come from several points in Spain.
      * Samar [url=http://samar.es/]]runs buses from Madrid (25 € one way) and [[Pamplona[/url]].
      * ALSA [url=http://www.alsa.es]]goes from [[Granada[/url]] to Úbeda, 12.94 € one way. Besides several routes originated in [wiki=b2118d2ca0171a63e07fa6218f88b073]Sevilla[/wiki], [wiki=9282ad4f29106b9a00a9b2408808700d]Málaga[/wiki] or [wiki=bddfcdfa742c2e57ea81bf96d27c35ba]Valencia[/wiki] stop in Úbeda. ALSA also links [wiki=8c36bddccabb02fa4acdc548ff2f07df]Baeza[/wiki] and Úbeda with several buses everyday.

    • By car

    The city is quite pleasant to walk, especially the old district.

    Distances are short but still there are two urban bus lines, one in each direction, with slightly different stops. They depart from the bus station in Calle San José. Single ride costs 0.95 €.
