    Visitor Information Centre - Civic Centre Plaza, Burnie.
    * Little Penguin Observation Centre - located at Parsonage Point, along the foreshore boardwork.
    * A few minutes drive east of the city, and is a beautiful, ferny environment with picnic and barbecue facilities. Great for a walk along the banks of the Emu River. You may see be fortunate and see a wild platypus at Fern Glade. The second entrance is the start of a 3 km walk in the Emu Valley, through to Rutherford Rd in Stowport. This track is also excellent for mountain bikes and gets very little use.
    * Visitor information centre. Participate in hand made paper making. Local arts and craft-persons' hand made products for sale.
    * The Pioneer Village shows a reproduction of actual Burnie businesses from the Federation period 1890 - 1910 when Burnie was at the height of its first economic boom. It is a compact, detailed and authentic display of buildings and everyday objects of the time.
