Le Tonnare di Stintino Beach Resort
This holiday village is located about 2 km from the small sailing town of Stintino, which was founded in 1885 by fishermen and farmers. It is set on one of the most characteristic parts of the coastline of this island. This holiday village is partly based on a restructured tonnara - a traditional fish processing plant - which has become the heart of the village and has been a charming feature for many years. Laid out in a natural amphitheatre facing the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel enjoys a sweeping vista over the Golfo dell'Asinara. The village was fully renovated in 2003 and comprises a total of 182 rooms. The guest rooms are set in beautiful buildings and furnished in a simple but functional way. They have an independent entrance, individually adjustable air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, a telephone, a TV, a minibar and a patio or a balcony. The rooms types available include standard, sea or garden view rooms with 2 or 4 beds. Some of the latter are available with an open gallery (garden view only). The junior suites have up to 4 beds with a balcony and a garden view and offer 2 levels with 2 separate areas, a double room or a twin room and a living room with a double sofa bed. There are a wide range of sports on offer to guests including windsurfing, canoeing, archery, beach volleyball, aqua aerobics and water polo. Sports enthusiasts may enjoy a work-out in the gym. The main restaurant has a spacious hall and a beautiful covered terrace. Full board includes breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet style. Draught drinks, including house wine, are included. A grill-pizzeria, where guests can enjoy pizza as well as grilled meat and fish specialities, is also available. The main bar, located along the shore in the old building, has a pleasant stone veranda and is a beautiful place for an aperitif or digestif. The second bar is located by the large pool.
