Fantastic service. Clean rooms. Great location with easy access to "Fifth Avenue". Food was terrific. The only downside was an additional $65/per person charge for the Mexican restaurant which defeats the "all inclusive" principle. I would definitely return and send my friends and family. Overall, a fabulous resort!

It's OK, nothing more. Compared to resorts and hotels in Asia and Europe it's not a 5 star resort, a solid 4 IMO. A concrete jungle clearly tailored to the US market with prices to match. Pretty small place and quite noisy. Entertainment was only average. Food was very good in the main buffet restaurant, good in the Asian restaurant and pretty average in the Italian restaurant. Staff very good and friendly but we'd only been here 10 minutes and we're subjected to the sales pitch to take up their tours and car hire. My advice is use a local hire company, half the price and great service. Place needs a makeover, put some greenery around to break up the concrete. Mexico though is fabulous so if you're coming see more than just Playa del Carmen.

Very amazing. Not far from shopping, the ferry or the beach. Beautifully maintained. The food offered is delicious. We ferried over to Playacar from the Palace sister resort in Cozumel. We went over so we could enjoy the membership perks along with visiting the beach. But the public beach presented it's own culture that was at times unpleasant to be around. We may have been just as happy with staying at the Palace in Cozumel and their little beach for the day.

I upgraded to a corner room which had a magnificent view of the ocean. The service was exceptional, with every employee going out of their way to make our vacation enjoyable. The pool was terrific and it was a few steps to the beach. The food was very good. The housekeeping staff were amazing regarding how clean they made up our room and the common areas. The only issue we experienced is upon arrival they did a very hard sell on their vacation club. We had to tell them no several times after being invited to attend their two hour presentation. This aside, I give this resort my most enthusiastic five star rating and recommendation!

Best resort I’ve been to, the rooms, the service, the room service, the drinks in the rooms, the views, were beyond what I expected from an all exclusive, the food was acceptable as far as all inclusive go, but what made it even more special is the sister resort on the island where I could take a ferry both ways for $24 dollars, and be there from morning till evening, enjoying crystal clear water and snorkeling areas for free. There even a crashed airplane site to explore both scuba diving (paid) and snorkeling (free). There are also minor corals right outside the sister resort to explore which are teeming with exotic fish, sea urchins in the crevices and lion fish, just mind the tide. I LOVED THIS PLACE.!!

My friend and I stayed at Playacar Palace for 8 days, earlier this summer, about the first week of June. From the moment I arrived at the entry of the hotel, all staff was welcoming and friendly. Our walkout room was beautiful. The service was outstanding throughout the trip. The staff was quick to learn our names, and our preferences, making the stay more special. The highlight for me was our wonderful service at the pool. Daniela is the server that we interacted with the most, and she was quick to notice when we arrived at the pool, and she greeted us with our "usual" beverage, and remembered our food preferences as well. We also had great interactions with Perla and Basilio. It was clear that they all communicate with each other regarding the preferences of the guests, because they all knew what we enjoyed! I have been in customer service for so long, and I really appreciate this careful attention when I am on vacation. I cannot wait to return to Playacar Palace.

We stayed here for 5 days - what a fabulous week! All the events planned throughout the day made our stay even more enjoyable. The pool staff- Ricardo & Sylvia as well as Hugo with entertainment team were amazing! Fabiola, Arturo, Artemio were very pleasant & paid close attention each time, moment we walked in, they knew what our toddler wanted & will specially request for the kitchen to make it without even us asking. Sandra with the cleaning team was sweet & she did a terrific job with cleaning and disinfecting the room. The location of the resort is great, walking distance from the market, shopping mall & downtown Playa Carmen. Thank you to all the amazing people that made our stay memorable.

I LOVED THIS PLACE. previous I have stayed at sun palace. Decided to come back just because the customer service experience. Everyone is so fast and ready to help you with everything. Food is good. Drinks amazing. So many activities. Playground for the little ones, pool. SPECIAL thanks to Ana by the pool she was amazing. Went above and beyond for me and my family. Also want to give thanks to Joel at the bar what a Host. Joel was ready to recommend and prepare anything you wanted. Above and beyond. Thanks playacar definitely coming back.

Playacar Palace vacation was the best resort by far starts with the entire staff. They are extremely focused on taking care of every detail to make you vacation the best. I like that it feels like a small hotel and is very beautiful located next to the pier and walking distance to all kinds of shopping on 5th avenue . Room service, Pool staff, restaurant staff were great and did I mention the food "excellent". Cant wait to go back in March 2021, went in March 2020 and the weather was fantastic sun every day.

Excellent service! Food, amenities and location! Minute walk from 5th Ave and ferry to Cozumel. Playacar Palace is small but wonderful!

The rooms were very nice, staff are fantastic, the beach was fabulous. The food was great. Of course I was looking for more seafood. Great location. My only negative is the credits. Limited in how u can use them. Great part I can save them for next trip. I hope they can do a little better with the the night shows.
