Directly on the water of Hokianga Harbour at Omapere the Copthorne Hotel & Resort is a pretty 4-star hotel offering spacious accommodation in a lovely location. This small hotel has just 33 studio-style guest rooms. Rooms are a good size and all have en suite facilities. All of the rooms have a balcony with many of them overlooking the water. The hotel has 2 restaurants for guests to choose from both of which offer a lovely selection of traditional New Zealand cuisine including many seafood specialities. The House Bar & Bistro is the perfect venue to enjoy a meal with a view as it overlooks the water and the sand dunes across the bay. Lovely place to stay - Villa was very good, Staff also very good, but everything somewhat restricted due to Covid and few guests coming to stay or to dine at Restaurant, so Menu curtailed, little choice. Wine list not very good & extremely expensive! However, beautiful area and may return.

Os quartos são ok e confortáveis, mas infelizmente as salas públicas e o bar foram deixados sozinhos e as mesas não limpas quando visitamos ... Para o dinheiro que eu esperaria melhor

Este hotel depende exclusivamente de sua localização. Não está oferecendo valor pelo dinheiro. Ficamos 2 noites. Nosso quarto não foi atendido. Não havia refeições no restaurante para o sábado à noite, mas lanches caros servidos em recipientes de isopor !!! Absolutamente horrorizado! Não há muitas outras opções em Opononi. Sem água quente na manhã da partida. Apenas um membro da equipe realmente nos cumprimentou agradavelmente. Tenho viajado muito e este hotel não está à altura do padrão.

No hubo comidas en el restaurante para el sábado por la noche, pero ¡bocadillos de bar caros servidos en recipientes de poliestireno! ¡Absolutamente horrorizado! No hay muchas otras opciones en Opononi. No hay agua caliente en la mañana de la salida. En realidad, solo un miembro del personal nos recibió amablemente. He viajado mucho y este hotel no está a la altura.

This hotel relies solely on its location. It is not offering value for money. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was not serviced. There were no restaurant meals for the Saturday night, but overpriced bar snacks served in polystyrene containers!!! Absolutely horrified! There are not many other options in Opononi. No hot water on morning of departure. Only one staff member actually greeted us pleasantly. I have traveled extensively and this hotel is not up to standard.

Both of these stars are for the position. Lovely views overlooking the heads. I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed. Bedrooms are ok and comfortable but sadly the public rooms and bar were left unattended and tables uncleared when we visited... For the money I'd expect better

Es una excelente ubicación y me encanta, me quedé en The Heads Villa, por segunda vez. Esta vez fue cuando los nuevos propietarios se hicieron cargo, y parece que todo parece anticuado, sin utensilios para usar como un microondas. ¡El estacionamiento es un verdadero horror! Aparte de que el servicio de la gente local era un 5 estrellas PERO ... hay una verdadera arrogancia e ignorancia con los chicos indios y debido a los estándares de lo que solía ser el hotel y compararlo entonces con ahora es un verdadero vergüenza que haya caído mucho! ¡Estos tipos solo buscan dinero en lugar de servicio y calidad!

Its a great location and I love it, I stayed in The Heads Villa, for the second time. This time it was when the new owners took over, and it seems like everything looks out dated, no utensils for us to use such as a microwave. The parking is a real horror! Other then that the service from the local people was a 5 stars BUT....there is a real arrogance and ignorance with the Indian guys and due to the standards of what the hotel use to be and comparing it then to now its a real shame that it has fallen greatly! These guys are only after money rather then service and quality!

Meu quarto era grande e tinha uma bela vista para o porto. Apenas algumas pequenas imperfeições me fizeram rebaixar a classificação da acomodação para quatro estrelas, enquanto a experiência gastronômica classificou-se como cinco estrelas. Mi habitación era grande y tenía una gran vista del puerto. Located in a beautiful and calm waterfront setting, it is a great place to relax. The dining room was elegant, the food excellent and the staff were polite. My room was large and had a great view to the harbour. Only a few niggles have made me down rate the accommodation to four stars, whereas the dining experience rates five stars. Consider my rating to be 4.5.
