An address just outside the historic quarter stylish rooms with high-tech amenities and a casino are some of the reasons why the non-smoking Hotel Allegro Bern is one of the most popular hotels in the Swiss capital. With lovely views of the Bern's medieval quarter the five-story Allegro also overlooks the snow-capped Bernese Alps. There's plenty of natural wood in the 171 non-smoking rooms and suites which have a boutique hotel feel. Complimentary wired and wireless internet is a plus as are TVs with cable channels coffeemakers and minibars. Pets are allowed. “We stayed 2 days with our doggies as a part of a road trip and it was probably the nicest stay of our journey for the price. Minibar was all free, breakfast was excellent, room was spacious, clean and with a nice luxurious vibe. Very helpful and polite staff. Really happy.”

“Standard room with atrium view they called it, it was a nice enough room but the view wasn't as much atrium as it was the other window/wall of the other side (2 meters away) of the thinnest part of the atrium. Next time I will try the next room level with an actual view, I tried to ask for an upgrade but the hotel was sold out the next day, I think it will be worth the money to not feel like on a cruise ship with an inside cabin. Staff were very friendly and public transport tickets during the full stay were included. I will be coming back here again, as the location and breakfast buffet was perfect.”
