Porirua [url=http://poriruacity.com]]is a city in the [[Wellington[/url]] urban area at the south end of the [wiki=2299c1c30aefa80519f4b0eee7127665]North Island[/wiki] of [wiki=c51ed580ea5e20c910d951f692512b4d]New Zealand[/wiki]. The central business district is about 20km north of Wellington. Population about 50,000, the central business district is near the southern boundary, south-west of the less picturesque of the two landlocked arms of the Porirua Harbour.
