It was much fought-over in World War 1 and is mainly visited by tourists travelling from or to the nearby ports of [wiki=ac4c6e640ad42dce9a76e6a2427ff044]Calais[/wiki] and [wiki=04b0b930777cbb772aae8ba68a99be02]Boulogne[/wiki]. It is also a recommend place to travel from to visit the Canadian National Vimy Memorial.
