“I recently had the pleasure of spending my 2 week quarantine period at this great property in the heart of Sydney From the moment I checked in, to the moment I checked out the entire team went over and above to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The food service was awesome and they took into account my dietary needs every day. The regular updates from the GM were a great way of coping with a difficult situation for the guests and no doubt the hotel staff as well. Every time I called reception, everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful, even taking time to ask how I was doing. The nurse that called every day did the same thing too, after the obligatory any COVID signs questions, they seemed to really care. As did the Police and Defence force teams that checked me in from the airport and at the hotel I can only imagine how different having quarantine guests as opposed to paying guests should be, but you would never know the difference Thanks to everyone for making a very difficult process, very enjoyable Steve”

“Stayed two weeks under quarantine, and under other circumstances this would be a great base for a Sydney weekend. However, locked in a poorly cleaned room for two weeks with no sunlight, no fresh air, and no regular hotel services, how we were managed by the hotel left us with the impression of us being a problem rather than a guest. Three meals a day were provided, which is great in theory but the supplied food was overcooked, cold or all but inedible and generally not worth the effort. We relied on Deliveroo a lot. The hotel management sent the occasional letter speaking proudly of the kitchen staff, but we did not agree - we had hotter meals delivered from the other side of the city than those prepared for those quarantined within the hotel. The few staff rostered on were trying their best and were very responsive when they could help, which we really appreciated, but they had conflicting instructions from their management depending on the time of day we spoke to them. We were left with the impression that everything was operating on as lean a budget as possible. Our experience was good with the attending police and army. But if how the hotel managed the quarantine guests was a reflection of the instructions they were under by NSW Health, then those instructions must be underwhelming. Other quarantine hotels could deliver a better experience even under these trying circumstances. This hotel could look at the competition and learn.”
