“Excellent place to stay if you like the imperial style in modern setting. Victorian hotel reminding us of the British empire while maintaining the extravagance and style. Tap in sink not working.”

High quality hotel close to the newly developed waterfront. Far from the main shopping precint. So not great if you want to quickly pick up some goidies, though the bus stop is near. Brilliant service with high quality room. The bed was smaller than expected.

It was a weekend night and it is very loud inside the hotel and outside the hotel with partying. Hotel room was old and not cleaned well. Shower hide had sick amounts of build up and piece of wood holding the toilet together with no fan in the bathroom. Mattress was old and outdated. They charge you for everything even as a Marriott silver member, internet, parking, etc. Very hard to access the entrance, hard to tell if you are even around to pull up in front of the hotel and enter the parking garage. Right across from bars and loud drunk crowd, did not feel safe. This was a poorly managed hotel. The pool was the most disappointing and felt dirty. Went to use it and found a bunch of loud mouth guys shouting profanities, spa did not work, which I was really looking forward too and they didn't tell you that until you go down there. Then to top it off it felt very dirty and scummy, because the same bad mouth guys from the people area were working across the street at the same time when I went to a fast food Kabab location across the street. They must have a friend or someone at the hotel that lets them come over their during they breaks and us the pool area and then right back to working at the fast food store. Old, dirty, poorly managed, cheap, unaccessible, & loud.

Lobby is nice and nice location. I was disappointed in the room. Poor value for the money spent. Victorian decor in lobby. Shower didn't work and room on noisy street.

Great old hotel. Large rooms, underground parking, and awesome staff. In our 3-week trip of Italy, France, and England, this was our favorite hotel. Most of the hotels we stayed in were also 4*'s. Historic looking building, great location. Air conditioner in room was a little loud.

This hotel dazzled us at first. Although, finding it was a real challenge and we got lost. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Three out of 4 sides face noisy streets and we got a quiet side. Until the disco band started up just below us in a banquet room. It took calling several times to get the band to stop after midnight. Then, some attendees must have been staying there because doors slammed on our hall for an hour. At 6 am the door slamming started up again. It really is a shame because the hotel is so beautiful and has wonderful architecture. It was gorgeous, historic with great ambiance. Noisy. We had a disco band below us until after midnight. Walls thin.
